🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), internet connections, firewalls, and routers.
- Provide first- and second-level IT support to in-office and remote staff across departments.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware (PCs, printers, biometric devices) and software.
- Administer email systems, cloud services, and user accounts (e.g., Google Workspace, MS Office 365).
- Ensure data protection through regular backups, security patches, antivirus, and firewall maintenance.
- Monitor system performance, log issues, and implement proactive solutions to reduce downtime.
- Coordinate and support data collection tools used by field research teams (e.g., mobile devices, survey software).
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or new IT infrastructure based on company needs.
- Maintain IT inventory records and software license documentation.
- Collaborate with research, HR, and admin departments to develop and implement tech-based solutions.
- Train new and existing staff on IT policies, software use, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for procurement and troubleshooting.
🎯 Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in an IT support or system administration role.
- Sound knowledge of Windows OS, networking protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
- Experience with Google Workspace, Office 365, cloud storage, and remote access tools.
- Familiarity with data security protocols, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot common office hardware.
- Strong documentation, communication, and user support skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools and support custom research systems as needed.
