Alpha Organic, a well-established export company specializing in international trade of food-related products, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Business Development Officer to join its expanding team. This position is vital in driving the company’s international growth strategy by identifying and penetrating new markets, building partnerships, and increasing the global footprint of Alpha Organic’s export products.
This role is ideal for a business development professional with strong international sales experience, a keen understanding of global trade regulations, and a passion for connecting with international clients. The candidate will play a central role in forming strategic alliances, managing key client accounts, and executing tailored export strategies to reach new territories.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed market research and feasibility analysis to identify emerging opportunities in global markets.
Track and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors to support strategic decision-making.
Design and implement robust export and international business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Prioritize high-potential regions and markets based on demand forecasts and product alignment.
Build a strong pipeline by reaching out to potential international buyers, distributors, and importers.
Negotiate and close export contracts, including pricing, shipping, and payment terms, ensuring mutual value creation.
Foster and maintain long-term relationships with international clients and partners to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export documentation requirements, and quality control standards.
Attend and represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, networking forums, and B2B matchmaking events globally.
Prepare periodic performance reports on sales targets, market development progress, and strategic KPIs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, export sales, or international client relations within the food or FMCG sector.
In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, export documentation, and international sales procedures.
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage.
Hands-on experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and AI-driven tools for lead generation and market analysis.
Strong negotiation skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to travel internationally as required.
Proactive mindset, goal-oriented approach, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
