Internal Auditor

Description:

NCRI is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor for a short-term assignment of 4 to 6 weeks at our Islamabad office. This role is ideal for seasoned audit professionals who are available on short notice and possess the ability to immediately contribute to organizational objectives with minimal onboarding.

As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for independently planning and executing internal audits to assess financial and operational controls, compliance with policies and procedures, and the effectiveness of risk management systems. You will work closely with department heads to gather information, perform audit testing, and prepare detailed reports of findings with actionable recommendations.

The position offers flexible working hours, making it particularly suited for freelancers, consultants, or professionals in between full-time roles who are looking for meaningful short-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk-based internal audits across operational and financial functions

• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement

• Review financial records, reports, and compliance with organizational policies

• Develop comprehensive audit reports including findings, analysis, and recommendations

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide consultative support where needed

• Ensure audit documentation is clear, complete, and compliant with applicable standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in internal auditing, risk assessment, or financial controls

• Ability to work independently and manage timelines efficiently in a short-duration project

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of internal auditing standards and financial reporting practices

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Islamabad for the duration of the assignment

• Immediate availability is highly desirable
