Head Of Supply Chain

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain, procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and materials planning operations for an engineering and manufacturing organization involved in government and defence-related projects. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing supply chains, technical procurement, project-based sourcing, and compliance with relevant procurement procedures.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

Lead supply chain strategy, procurement, sourcing, inventory control, and materials planning.

Manage procurement of engineering components, machinery, equipment, and manufacturing materials.

Develop and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers, contractors, and vendors.

Oversee tender documentation, quotations, supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and purchase orders.

Ensure timely availability of materials to meet production schedules and project delivery deadlines.

Manage supplier performance, cost optimization, quality standards, and procurement risks.

Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, and Project Management teams.

Ensure compliance with applicable procurement policies, contractual requirements, and project-specific procedures.

Monitor inventory levels, working capital, delivery schedules, and supply chain KPIs.

Lead and develop the supply chain and procurement team.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant master's degree or professional certification will be an advantage.

10–15 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management, preferably in engineering or manufacturing.

Previous experience handling government, defence, or strategic engineering projects is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of technical procurement, tendering, vendor evaluation, contract management, and inventory planning.

Experience dealing with government departments, defence-related organizations, or public-sector project requirements will be an advantage.

Strong negotiation, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment in Landhi, Karachi.
