Head Of School

Description:

Reporting directly to the Board of Governors, the successful candidate will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership across the school while driving a culture of excellence, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a visionary leader who can inspire staff, engage parents and the wider community, strengthen academic outcomes, and guide the school through its next stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic direction and overall performance of the school.

• Champion excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and student achievement.

• Drive curriculum development and innovation across the school.

• Lead and support the implementation and development of International Baccalaureate programmes.

• Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports the success and wellbeing of all students.

• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership and teaching teams.

• Oversee accreditation, quality assurance, compliance, and school improvement initiatives.

• Strengthen relationships with parents, community stakeholders, and international partners.

• Lead the development of boarding, sports, leadership, and co-curricular programmes.

• Work closely with the Board to implement the school's long-term strategic vision and growth plans.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

✔ A minimum of 15 years' experience within international education, including significant senior leadership experience.

✔ Demonstrated success as a Head of School, Principal, Executive Principal, School Director, or equivalent leadership role.

✔ Extensive experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, including PYP, MYP, and/or DP programmes.

✔ Strong understanding of IB authorization, accreditation, evaluation, and continuous improvement processes.

✔ Experience with Cambridge and/or Pearson curricula would be advantageous.

✔ Proven ability to lead school improvement initiatives, academic transformation, and organizational growth.

✔ Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills.

✔ A strong commitment to innovation, student wellbeing, and educational excellence.
