Description:
KSBL is establishing Center for Circular Economy (KSBL- CCE) for instituting and supporting circular economy-driven innovation. This position entails establishment of Centre for Circular Economy with focus towards Circular Plastics – a research institute working at the crossroads of plastics R&D, practical experimentation, and public policy advocacy that brings together stakeholders from the plastics and related sectors. Other focus areas will include Circular Cities: Thriving, livable, resilient, Biodiversity, Circular Economy for Food, Circular Fashion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and operational oversight of the institute incorporating feedback from KSBL, and other direct stakeholders
- Steer based on KPIs (monthly, quarterly and annually), milestones and Fixed cost budgets
- Spearhead daily operations of the CCE, support all entities involved in it, and manage its interactions with the other constituents of the Institute, sponsor organizations, and external vendors.
- Initiate initial research budgets and research Sponsorships while actively applying for national and global funding opportunities
- Convene round tables and seminars for corporate and government stakeholders as primary target, while academic and other institutional stakeholders as secondary
- Develop research and collaboration agenda, legislative and advocacy agenda, relationships and pursue partnerships with local and international stakeholders
- Develop Curriculums, short courses, etc. around circular economy with focus towards circular plastics independently and as integrations to mainstream KSBL programs – Academics and Executive Education
- Pursue partnerships with local and international stakeholders
- Steward in sustainability forums
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Masters’ degree with relevant specializations and some research credentials
- Overall 12-15 years of experience with minimum 5-7 years spent in related field/function
