Full Stack Wordpress Developer

Description:

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack WordPress Developer with strong CMS experience to join our growing digital team. You will be responsible for building, customising, optimising, and maintaining high-performance WordPress websites for UK and international clients, including business, e-commerce, and content-driven platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress CMS websites

• Build custom themes and plugins (no heavy reliance on bloated page builders)

• Work with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript

•Integrate third-party APIs, forms, payment gateways, and CRMs

• Optimise websites for speed, SEO, security, and scalability

• Implement responsive designs for desktop and mobile

• Manage WooCommerce stores (products, payments, performance)

• Troubleshoot bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks

• Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and project managers

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with WordPress CMS (Core, Themes, Plugins)

• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

• Experience with WooCommerce

• Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations

• Knowledge of WordPress security best practices

• Familiarity with Git / version control

• Experience with website performance optimisation

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with UK-based websites or clients

• Knowledge of SEO best practices for WordPress

• Experience with ACF, CPTs, Elementor (clean usage)

• Familiarity with hosting environments (cPanel, VPS, Cloud)

• Basic understanding of UI/UX and conversion optimisation

• Experience with headless WordPress or React/Next.js (bonus)
