GoodGraph is building AI-powered tools to help nonprofits and foundations maximize their impact. We're tackling the massive inefficiencies in how social good organizations manage and understand their operations. Our modern stack — TypeScript, Next.js, Vercel, Convex, Planetscale, TanStack, Remix, LangChain, Python, (insert tools you love and will bring here) — lets us ship fast and solve real problems for organizations making a difference.
What you'll do
- Build end-to-end features: from data ingestion and API design to polished, responsive UIs
- Shape the architecture: choose tools, design scalable services, and keep DevOps simple and secure.
- Integrate intelligence: wire up LLM/RAG pipelines and analytics that nonprofits can trust
- Ship quickly: turn user feedback into product improvements in days, not months
- Set engineering culture: establish best practices for reviews, testing, observability, and documentation. You know the Right Way of Doing Things, but you also know how to pragmatically balance that with speed in order to get things done and fail faster.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years building production web applications across the stack, though this isn’t a hard-and-fast rule. We care more about trajectory than YoE.
- Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript, React (Next.js preferred), and Node or Python services
- Solid SQL skills and familiarity with serverless/edge platforms (Vercel, AWS Lambda, etc.)
- Experience designing and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs and integrating third-party services
- Comfort with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (GitHub Actions, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) You don’t have to be an expert, but you should have run `terraform apply` at least once before.
- A product mindset and care for usability. You proactively think about edge cases.
- Someone who is deeply integrated with AI tools in their everyday work: whether that’s Cursor/Windsurf/Claude-Code/other for development, or ChatGPT/Claude/DeepSeek for everyday debugging assistance, architecture-design, and product design brainstorming. We believe that these tools – in the hands of the right developer – are levers that accelerate learning, not hinder it.
