Food Specialist

 

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Food Technologist with hands-on expertise in confectionery formulation, specifically pectin-based, gelatin-based, and hybrid gummies.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop, test, and standardize gummy formulations suitable for commercial production.

This role is ideal for candidates from India, Pakistan, or East Africa who have prior experience in candy, jelly, or nutraceutical gummy manufacturing. Including pharma gummies formulation and production

Key Responsibilities

Develop pectin, gelatin, and pectin-gelatin hybrid gummy formulations.

Optimize texture, chew, pH, flavour, and stability of gummies.

Standardize recipes for small- and medium-scale production.

Guide on ingredient ratios, cooking temperature, and process controls.

Conduct trials and troubleshoot issues: sweating, stickiness, bloom, shrinkage, or cloudiness.

Assist with setting up a small production line (equipment, workflow, hygiene standards).

Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Train team members on production SOPs.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Confectionery Technology, or related field.

2–10 years of experience in candy/gummy manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of:

Pectin & gelatin chemistry

Sugar cooking

pH adjustment

Flavour & colour systems


Experience in nutraceutical gummies (vitamins, herbal) is an added advantage.
