Finance Manager

 

Description:

Hillcrest is seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager on behalf of one of its trusted clients – a dynamic and expanding organization based in Lahore, Pakistan. The ideal candidate will play a critical leadership role in overseeing financial operations, reporting directly to the General Manager, and contributing to strategic planning and fiscal stability.

This is a pivotal role designed for a finance professional who is not only detail-oriented and analytical but also strategic in planning and execution. The Finance Manager will ensure that the organization maintains financial health and meets all statutory requirements while contributing to business growth and long-term sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review core financial statements including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statements

  • Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management to support decision-making

  • Monitor financial transactions by reviewing vouchers, ledger entries, and maintaining accurate financial records

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and perform monthly forecasting

  • Analyze budget vs actual variances, identify causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve financial discipline and performance

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate filing of VAT, income tax, and all other statutory taxes

  • Liaise with tax consultants and authorities for audits, inspections, and advisory

  • Assist in tax planning strategies to optimize liabilities while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage the organization’s cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships

  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and maintain treasury-related reports

  • Support financing and funding activities, including negotiations of loans and credit facilities


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in financial management

  • At least 2 years of experience in taxation and compliance


Professional Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of Pakistani Accounting Standards and FBR regulations

  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Proficiency in financial software including SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, and Advanced Excel/Google Sheets

  • Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
