As a Fiber Splicer Rigger, You will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables. Your expertise will ensure that our network infrastructure remains reliable and efficient, meeting the demands of our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Splicing and terminating fiber optic cables to industry standards.
- Performing network troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
- Assisting in the installation and testing of fiber optic equipment and related components.
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure.
- Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Collaborating with the network engineering team to optimize network performance.
- Documenting work activities and providing reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Fiber Splicer Rigger or a related role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic cable splicing techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in interpreting network diagrams and engineering plans.
- Familiarity with OTDR and other testing equipment for fiber optics.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety and following industry best practices.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- This is a full-time position, and flexibility in working hours may be required.
- Travel to different sites for installation and maintenance might be necessary.
