Description:
We are seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our woodworking and furniture manufacturing facility in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of woodwork production, workshop management, manpower supervision, quality control, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all factory and workshop operations related to woodworking and furniture production.
- Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Supervise carpenters, machine operators, painters, polishers, and other workshop staff.
- Ensure efficient utilization of materials, machinery, and manpower.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate procurement of raw materials and consumables.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams regarding production requirements and delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in woodworking, furniture manufacturing, interior fit-out, or related industries.
- Proven experience in managing a woodworking factory or workshop.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, fabrication processes, finishing, and installation requirements.
- Ability to manage labor teams and production targets effectively.
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production reporting.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Wood Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field will be preferred.
