Experienced Software Developer

Description:

The London School of Science & Technology (LSST) is seeking a highly capable and driven Software Developer to join our Islamabad Liaison Office. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for an experienced developer with a strong foundation in modern software development and a keen interest in educational technology systems.

You will contribute directly to the development and maintenance of software platforms supporting LSST’s academic and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure software applications in alignment with institutional needs
• Collaborate with technical teams in the UK and Pakistan to deliver robust software solutions
• Develop clean, maintainable code using Python, JavaScript, and modern frameworks
• Participate in version control, code reviews, and deployment processes
• Support the integration and maintenance of student management systems (e.g., SMS, SITS)
• Assist with software-related IT support and internal technical troubleshooting
• Support infrastructure monitoring, backups, and cloud-based tools where necessary

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript and modern frameworks
• Strong understanding of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript etc)
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and building RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• IT support capabilities (hardware, networking, systems troubleshooting)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
