Experienced Draftsman

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman with strong expertise in AutoCAD and Revit to support design and construction documentation for U.S.-based residential and small-scale commercial projects. This is a remote role, and prior experience working on Long Island projects or similar New York state construction is essential.

🛠 Responsibilities

· Develop detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit

· Create and refine design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and cross-sections for residential and light commercial buildings

· Understand and implement Long Island local building codes and New York State construction practices

· Collaborate with architects to prepare drawing sets for permit submissions

· Interpret zoning codes, municipal standards, and ensure drawing accuracy

· Deliver high-quality, compliant documentation independently and on schedule

✅ Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field

· Minimum 3–5 years of drafting experience in wood-frame residential architecture

· Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for architectural drafting and documentation

· Experience working with U.S.-based architecture firms, especially those focused on Long Island

· Strong understanding of traditional wood-frame construction methods in New York

· Able to draw detailed cross-sections of stick-frame residential walls

· Experience preparing permit sets that were approved by local building departments in Long Island

· Ability to read and apply local jurisdiction codes to architectural drawings

· Strong attention to detail, time management, and independence

· Familiarity with U.S. permit processes and architectural workflows
