Description:
Maersk is seeking a Container Repair Manager to oversee the repair and maintenance of shipping containers at our empty container depot in Karachi. This role ensures that containers meet international standards and are ready for deployment in global logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the inspection, repair, and maintenance of containers to meet industry and safety standards
- Develop and follow repair schedules and procedures to ensure timely turnaround
- Conduct quality checks and ensure repairs meet specified guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of repair work, materials, tools, and equipment used
- Manage inventory of supplies and coordinate ordering when needed
- Ensure all activities follow safety regulations and company compliance protocols
- Collaborate with other departments such as logistics and operations to support smooth workflows
- Provide updates on repair status and generate performance reports as required
Requirements
- Relevant experience in container repair, mechanical maintenance, or logistics support
- Strong understanding of repair standards, safety practices, and quality assurance procedures
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Proficient in using systems or tools for tracking repairs and inventory
