Educational Counselor

Description:

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic and personal counselling to students of all ages
• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
• Develop personalized academic plans for students based on their goals and needs
• Assist students in researching and applying to colleges, universities, and vocational schools
• Provide guidance and support to students throughout the college application process, including essay writing and interview preparation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success
• Keep accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school administrators

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an education counsellor
• Strong knowledge of college admissions and financial aid processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with counselling software and databases
