Description:
Tajaret is seeking a Full‑Stack Next.js + Node.js Developer for a full-time, remote role in Pakistan. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using Next.js and Node.js. Responsibilities include creating responsive user interfaces, building APIs, optimizing server-side logic for performance, and collaborating with designers and other developers to deliver seamless user experiences. The role requires adherence to best practices in code quality, troubleshooting, and contributing to an agile development environment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Next.js, React.js, and modern front-end development frameworks and libraries
- Build front‑end features using Next.js (App Router)
- React (with TypeScript), Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui component library, React Router, TanStack Query
- Strong expertise in Node.js, building RESTful APIs, and Server-Side Rendering (SSR)
- Experience with integrating front-end and back-end components to build full-stack applications
- Familiarity with database management systems like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Postgres with extensive Row-Level Security (RLS) policies; pgTAP for database testing
- Deno test framework for backend, Playwright for end-to-end
- Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git, for collaborative code development
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization abilities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years professional full-stack development experience
- Strong proficiency in React + TypeScript (can build a non-trivial component from scratch, understands hooks, state management, performance considerations)
- Comfortable with PostgreSQL (can write and optimize queries, understands indexes, foreign keys, RLS or similar row-level security concepts)
- Experience with serverless/edge functions (Supabase Edge Functions, Vercel/Netlify/Cloudflare workers, or AWS Lambda, any of these is fine, the patterns transfer)
- Comfortable working in a git-based workflow (branches, PRs, code review, merge conflicts, rebasing)
- Strong written English communication (daily async communication via Slack and PR descriptions, we are not optimizing for daily voice calls)
- Self-directed work habits (can take a written spec, ask clarifying questions, and deliver without micromanagement)
