As a Design Manager – Steel Structure, you will be responsible for leading the structural design team, managing engineering deliverables, ensuring design quality, coordinating with clients and project stakeholders, and supporting successful project execution from design through fabrication and construction.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise junior design engineers, Tekla detailers, and draftsmen to ensure high-quality project deliverables

• Prepare technical submittals, detailed design calculations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and engineering documentation

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and project stakeholders to resolve design queries and RFIs within project deadlines

• Provide technical support to the site engineering team during erection and construction, including troubleshooting and engineering clarifications

• Maintain design revision control, as-built drawings, and ensure compliance with company documentation standards

• Perform QA/QC reviews of all design outputs before release for fabrication and production

• Plan and allocate design tasks, establish project schedules, monitor team performance, and ensure timely completion of design deliverables

• Maintain strong proficiency in CAD, Tekla Structures, and structural design software while ensuring compliance with the latest design codes, standards, and steel construction technologies

🔹 Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering (or a related engineering discipline)

• Proven experience in structural steel design and project management

• Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing, fabrication, and construction practices

• Experience with international engineering standards is an advantage

🔹 Required Skills:

• Strong leadership, project coordination, and team management abilities

• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills

• Expertise in CAD, Tekla Structures, and structural design software

• Strong understanding of BOQs, material take-offs, QA/QC procedures, and engineering documentation

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

• Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement
