Description:
Alaska Batteries, one of Pakistan’s leading battery manufacturers, is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional to join our Procurement department at the Islamabad Head Office.
Key Responsibilities: • Manage end-to-end import operations, including shipment planning, documentation, clearance, and timely delivery.
• Handle Letters of Credit, bank contracts, import payments, and related banking documentation.
• Coordinate with foreign suppliers, banks, clearing agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, SBP requirements, duties, taxes, and import documentation.
• Monitor shipment status, lead times, clearance delays, landed cost, and import-related expenses.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Stores, and Plant teams to ensure timely material availability.
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s/MBA in Supply Chain will be preferred.
• 8–10 years of relevant import, supply chain, logistics, or procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of LCs, import documentation, customs clearance, and shipping procedures.
• Manufacturing, battery, automotive, chemical, or industrial sector experience will be preferred.
• MS Office proficiency; ERP/SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
