Database Administrator

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production environments
• Configure and manage Primary and RDS servers
• Implement and maintain PostgreSQL replication (especially Logical Replication)
• Perform query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Handle database backup and restore operations
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Work within Linux environments (especially Rocky Linux)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related requirements
• Ensure proper documentation and clear communication with stakeholders

Required Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Strong experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with replication, backup, and recovery processes
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix-based systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently during night shift hours
