Data Engineer

Speridian Technologies is hiring an experienced Data Engineer to join its dynamic team for a prestigious banking client based in Karachi and Islamabad. This full-time, permanent, on-site role is ideal for candidates who possess 3 to 5 years of professional experience and a strong command of Python, Teradata, Informatica, SQL, and Data Warehousing concepts, along with familiarity with modern BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data models that support key analytics functions and business intelligence reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement efficient, scalable ELT data pipelines using Python (PySpark).

• Develop and maintain data models using Teradata and Informatica to support robust analytics and reporting capabilities.

• Work closely with analysts and business teams to provide clean and reliable datasets for BI dashboards.

• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure its availability for reporting and analytics through tools like Power BI and Tableau.

• Monitor performance of data pipelines and troubleshoot issues proactively to maintain high data quality.

• Apply industry-standard best practices in data transformation, modeling, documentation, and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, BI developers, and business analysts to ensure smooth data flow and usability across systems.

Preferred Skills & Tools:

• Proficient in Python, especially PySpark

• Strong experience with Informatica and Teradata

• Solid understanding of SQL and Data Warehousing

• Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau

• Ability to manage large-scale data systems and ensure data quality
