Data Engineer

Description:

1) A minimum of 2 years of experience in data engineering, ETL or work in SQL
2) Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field
3) Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or any two. Strong command of SQL
4) Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
5) Experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
6) Experience working with either a Map Reduce or a MPP system on any size/scale
7) Knowledge of NoSQL databases will be a plus
8) Good understanding of Lambda / Kappa Architecture, along with its advantages and drawbacks.
9) Familiarity or experience in Cloudera/Hortonworks
10) Experience with multiple data technologies and concepts such as Airflow, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, SQL, NoSQL, and Columnar databases.

Experience : Minimum 3 Years
Starting salary : 100K depending on experience

Job Description

1) Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
2) Write well designed, testable, efficient code
3) Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
4) Prepare and produce releases of software components
5) Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
6) Proven hands-on Software Development experience
7) Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java platforms
8) Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
9) Experience in the Spring Framework ,experience with test-driven development
