About the Role:
We are seeking a visionary Lead Designer to lead and scale a high-performance global design team. This role goes beyond aesthetics — it’s about building a scalable, results-driven design function that influences product, marketing, branding, and user experience across markets.
You will build and manage world-class design teams, lead human-centered design strategy, and drive global creative excellence. Your impact will directly shape our visual identity, product-market alignment, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Global Design Teams: Hire, mentor, and manage high-performing full-time and freelance designers across multiple time zones and disciplines (graphic, product, illustration, ecommerce).
- Scale Design Systems: Oversee the creation, execution, and evolution of scalable design systems across platforms and markets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, sales, marketing, and customer service to align creative strategies with business goals.
- Drive Branding Strategy: Own and evolve the visual and verbal brand identity—logos, typography, tone of voice, messaging architecture.
- Creative Leadership: Oversee all creative output and communication ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation.
- Human-Centered Design (HCD): Apply ethnographic methods and qualitative research to craft design strategies aligned with user behavior and business objectives.
- Project & Resource Management: Frame project goals, build work plans, and manage resources across large and complex design initiatives.
- Research & Insight Development: Conduct primary/secondary research, stakeholder interviews, contextual observations to inform design direction.
- Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs to evaluate creative performance, productivity, and campaign success.
- Strategic Facilitation: Lead design workshops, stakeholder sessions, and feedback loops to co-create powerful, user-centric solutions.
- Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
- Test graphics across various media & QA checks for design errors
- Experiment with new techniques, software, and design trends to push creative boundaries and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Communication Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5+ years of professional design leadership experience across diverse teams and complex projects
- Deep expertise in Human-Centered Design, research methods, UX strategy, service design
- Proven ability to scale design systems and manage remote global teams
- Strong experience in ambiguous problem solving, facilitation, stakeholder management
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, AI Tools, Miro, Slack, etc.)
- Exceptional English language communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Background in both B2B and B2C design environments
