Cost Accounting Analyst

Description:

Dostsol Global is hiring a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Analyst to manage project budgets, track material and labor costs, perform project-based reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial reports.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, shop representatives, procurement, and management to maintain cost visibility and support financially sound project decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Finalize project budgets with the relevant shop point of contact

• Track project costs, including materials, purchasing, labor, and overages

• Review material purchase requests and cost-overage approvals

• Record and allocate daily labor costs to the appropriate projects

• Maintain project costing dashboards and budget reports

• Perform QuickBooks reconciliations using project-based costing

• Investigate budget variances and cost discrepancies

• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate cost records

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in cost accounting, project costing, budget management, or financial analysis

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and financial dashboards

• Understanding of cost allocation, reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple projects and reporting deadlines

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are mandatory
