Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team and support our activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in venture capital and private equity law or corporate law, and be able to provide expert legal guidance to the CEO. We will consider contract/part-time and full time depending on your skills and what value you can offer. We have a well known attorney who represents us in the US, and we are incorporated in the US as well.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support to the investment team, including reviewing and negotiating investment documents and assisting with due diligence.
- Advise the investment team on complex legal and regulatory issues, including securities law, corporate governance, and tax.
- Assist portfolio companies with a variety of legal matters, including corporate formation, equity structure, and fundraising.
- Stay up-to-date on legal developments in the venture capital and private equity industries, and provide regular updates to the investment team.
- Manage outside counsel as needed.
- Manage the legal structures of our foundation in Pakistan and other Asian countries.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor / degree from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission.
- 5+ years of experience in venture capital or private equity law, with a strong understanding of the investment process and due diligence.
- Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
