Description:
We’re looking for a Corporate Communications & PR Manager — a sharp, globally minded storyteller who can shape how the world perceives the company and its ventures.
You’ll be the anchor for all things corporate communications, leading PR strategy, managing media relationships, protecting the reputation of the Group, and driving visibility across global markets. From major venture announcements and leadership profiles to market launches and crisis responses, you’ll own the external narrative that defines who we are and what we stand for.
You’ll work closely with the Head of PR & Communications, the Chief Storyteller, and venture comms leads to ensure the company speaks with one voice: bold, authentic, and consistent across every channel. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and storytelling, crisis and creativity, and who operates with founder-level ownership in fast-moving environments.
Expectations from the Role
● Lead Corporate Communications: Build and execute a global communications strategy that strengthens reputation as a category-defining venture builder.
● Own PR and Media Relations: Develop and maintain high-impact relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets across key markets (UAE, US, UK, KSA, and beyond).
● Proactive & Reactive Comms: Balance proactive storytelling with rapid, well-judged reactive responses. Manage the media inbox, monitor sentiment, and lead issue response when narratives shift or crises emerge.
● Act as Reputation Guardian: Lead issues management and crisis communications planning. Build proactive protocols, statements, and messaging frameworks to safeguard the Group and its ventures.
● Drive Narrative Consistency: Ensure all public communications — from announcements and thought leadership to venture storytelling — align with tone, values, and strategic priorities.
● Manage Announcements & Launches: Plan and execute high-visibility PR moments, venture launches, and corporate updates positioning the company as an innovation leader.
● Executive Visibility: Partner with leadership to craft thought leadership, op-eds, media interviews, and speaking opportunities that reinforce credibility and vision.
● Venture Support: Serve as the comms point of contact for ventures — advising founders on messaging, media strategy, and positioning to ensure coherence with Group narrative.
● Spokesperson Role: Act as a primary point of contact for external media and represent the company as a spokesperson when appropriate. Support and coach other executives and venture leaders to do the same.
● Agency & Partner Oversight: Lead and coordinate PR agencies, media consultants, and external partners, ensuring alignment with Group goals, budget efficiency, and measurable outcomes.
● Regional Adaptation: Tailor communication strategies to diverse regional contexts and media environments, ensuring cultural nuance and local relevance.
● Measurement & Insights: Define KPIs for earned media performance, share of voice, and sentiment. Monitor analytics and translate insights into recommendations for continuous improvement.
● Tech-Enabled Comms: Leverage modern communications tools, analytics dashboards, and emerging AI capabilities to improve media monitoring, trend analysis, and message optimization.
● Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Legal, People, and Investor Relations to ensure alignment between internal and external communications.
Qualifications & Requirements
● 8–12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media strategy, ideally within tech, venture capital, or high-growth consumer or B2B companies.
● Proven success in building and executing PR and reputation strategies across multiple markets and media landscapes.
● Deep experience managing crisis communications and sensitive narratives with discretion and confidence.
● Strong network of media relationships across business, technology, innovation, and trade verticals.
● Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills; capable of simplifying complex topics into clear, compelling narratives.
● Experience preparing leadership for interviews, panels, and high-stakes media interactions.
● Hands-on in managing press materials, announcements, and statements; strategic in shaping the long-term story arc.
● Experienced in managing PR agencies and multi-market campaigns with clear KPIs.
● Strong grasp of comms analytics tools, dashboards, and data-driven measurement.
● Comfortable working across time zones, cultures, and fast-moving priorities.
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
