We are seeking a visionary Web Content Editor/Sub Editor to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing our content strategy, ensuring that Tribune Wired continues to be a leader in the digital media space.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all content production and suggest new ideas for content types with data-backed research.
- Conduct research into content performance and trends to refine our content approach continually.
- Research trending content/topics or niche ideas and keywords in various categories.
- Daily management of our content team or freelance writers, setting deadlines, giving feedback, and setting tasks.
- Ensure that all content meets our high editorial standards and is optimized for SEO.
- Edit, proofread, and improve internally and externally written content using WordPress.
- Add images and graphics to articles before publication.
- Review and edit existing content to ensure it meets our editorial standards and SEO guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a content editor/sub-editor, content manager, content team lead, or a similar role in a digital media environment.
- In-depth understanding of content trends, digital platforms, and SEO strategies.
- Good analytical skills to interpret content performance and creativity to drive engaging content initiatives.
- Excellent editorial, research skills, and SEO skills.
- Image editing skills using software like Adobe Photoshop or Affinity Photo.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, fostering collaboration and innovation within the team.
