Arcana Info is hiring a Cloud Software Developer – OpenShift to join our growing tech team in Civil Lines, Karachi. If you are passionate about building robust, cloud-native applications and enjoy working with state-of-the-art tools like OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes, this role is for you.

You will lead the development and deployment of modern, scalable microservices-based applications while ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms. This position demands hands-on experience in cloud software development, a deep understanding of infrastructure, and collaboration within a DevOps-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build cloud-native applications using Red Hat OpenShift.

• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments via Kubernetes.

• Architect and implement microservices with a focus on scalability and resilience.

• Write, maintain, and debug code using Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters.

• Utilize Operators for deployment automation and lifecycle management.

• Participate in DevOps pipelines, promoting CI/CD practices and automation.

Required Technical Expertise:

• 2+ years of experience with Unix/Linux platforms (including C, C++, GoLang).

• 2–3 years in a leadership role within development or support teams.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols (Layer 2–5), firewalls, routers, VPNs.

• Familiarity with virtualization (KVM, z/VM, Hyper-V) and OS internals.

• Solid understanding of enterprise servers, firmware, and security configurations.

• Proven troubleshooting capabilities and attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document processes.

• Experience in working within global teams across multiple time zones.

Preferred Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of system hardware and architecture.

• Detailed understanding of OS internals such as memory/process management, I/O handling, and system security.

• Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment and lifecycle management.

Preferred Certifications:

• Red Hat Certified OpenShift Developer

• Cloud Pak for Integration – Certified
