Description:
We are a US-based clinical research organization seeking a versatile professional in Karachi who can support IT/website development tasks, assist in business development activities to identify research opportunities locally, and manage clinical documentation and administrative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT / Website Development Support
- Maintain and update company website (content updates, basic development, bug fixes)
- Coordinate with external developers if needed
- Manage basic IT troubleshooting and digital tools
- Support data systems or internal portals (if applicable)
Preferred skills:
- HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript (or WordPress/Webflow)
- Understanding of website hosting and maintenance
- Basic troubleshooting mindset
2. Business Development (Clinical Research Focus)
- Proactively identify and pursue new clinical trial opportunities
- Schedule and conduct meetings with pharmaceutical companies, sponsors, and CROs to introduce and position WRL as a clinical research site
- Present site capabilities, patient population access, investigator experience, and operational strengths to potential partners
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with sponsors, CROs, and industry stakeholders
- Research and register the site on relevant online platforms, sponsor portals, and clinical trial networks to increase visibility for upcoming studies
- Regularly monitor and update profiles on clinical trial listing platforms and vendor databases
- Complete feasibility questionnaires and respond to sponsor inquiries in a timely manner
- Contribute to proposal preparation, study start-up strategies, and growth initiatives
Preferred skills:
- Strong communication and networking ability
- Understanding of healthcare ecosystem in Pakistan (big advantage)
- Ability to pitch and engage professionally
3. Documentation & Administrative Support
- Maintain Trial Master Files (TMF) or source documentation (as applicable)
- Organize and manage study documents in compliance-ready structure
- Prepare reports, trackers, and spreadsheets
- Handle MS Office tasks (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ensure version control and document accuracy
Preferred skills:
- Strong MS Excel (data tracking, basic formulas)
- Attention to detail (critical for clinical research)
- Familiarity with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) is a plus
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s degree (IT, Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred)
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (flexible if skill is strong)
- Ability to multitask across technical + business + admin work
- Strong written and spoken English (important for US coordination)
