Chief Regulatory Officer

Description:

-Manage, lead and control the compliance and regulatory functions of the Exchange;

-Develop, implement and monitor compliance policies, processes and procedures to cover all aspects relating to regulatory, operational and statutory obligations of the Exchange;

-Handle matters relating to the regulations of the Exchange, including regular review of the same to ensure their suitability, and finalizing proposals for making new regulations or carrying out amendments in the existing regulations for approval of the Regulatory Affairs Committee and Board of Directors of the Exchange;

-Monitor compliance of the Exchange, brokers and their accredited representatives with applicable legal and regulatory framework, policies and procedures and take enforcement action(s) under the applicable regulatory framework;

-Supervise or conduct any investigation, inspection or enquiry required to be conducted by the Exchange;

-Monitor the redressal of disputes, complaints or grievances arising out of trading of futures contracts at the Exchange in a timely manner;

-Assist Regulatory Affairs Committee of the Board of Directors to perform its functions;

-Ensure efficiency of the process for redressal of investor grievances, dispute resolution and arbitration;

-Ensure efficiency of surveillance mechanism of the Exchange;

-Maintain effective liaison with the SECP in respect of above matters; and

-Perform any other related function as may be assigned by the Board of Directors or the Commission.
