Description:
The Chief Quantity Surveyor (CQS) will play a pivotal role in overseeing all cost estimation, contract management, and financial control aspects of the project. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction economics, budgeting, procurement strategies, and cost optimization in large-scale urban projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all quantity surveying functions for the Lahore project.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
- Evaluate contractor and subcontractor claims, variations, and payment certifications.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
- Coordinate with the design, procurement, and execution teams for cost-effective delivery.
- Advise senior management on cost control strategies and project financial performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in large-scale building or urban infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Candy).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
