Cem Engineer

Description:

Hillcrest Solutions is looking for talented and technically sound CEM Engineers to join their team in Islamabad, working at their GSC office for a prominent Chinese telecom client. This role is ideally suited for professionals who possess a hybrid skill set in full stack software development and telecom network delivery. As a CEM Engineer, you will play a dual role by contributing to both cloud-based software projects and core network solutions, delivering innovative and scalable telecom services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web and mobile applications with a strong focus on usability and performance.

• Contribute to the backend using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.

• Utilize cloud platforms for application development and deployment.

• Work with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, and big data tools such as Apache, Hadoop, and SparkSQL.

• Apply UI/UX fundamentals for front-end enhancements.

• Participate in the delivery, testing, and support of core network products including CS/PS infrastructure.

• Write and execute Linux shell scripts and manage configurations of Ethernet switches.

• Analyze, debug, and optimize performance across both software and telecom network environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunication, IT, Software, or Computer Engineering.

• 1–3 years of practical experience in either software or telecom domains.

• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Technical Skillset:

• Front-End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML

• Back-End: Java, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Vue.js

• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL

• Big Data/Cloud: Apache, Hadoop, SparkSQL, Linux

• Telecom: Core network delivery (CS/PS), mobile network fundamentals, shell scripting, switch configuration

• UI/UX: Basic understanding of design and user experience principles
