Cargo Sales Officer

 

Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Cargo Sales Officer with a minimum of three years of experience in cargo sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our cargo services, establishing new business relationships, and managing existing customer accounts. The candidate should be smart, proactive, and possess a strong understanding of the cargo industry.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales & Promotion: Actively promote and sell cargo services to new and existing clients, meeting sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and advantages of our cargo services.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring profitability while maintaining competitive rates.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any concerns or queries, and ensuring a smooth experience from sales to delivery.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and performance metrics. Report regularly to management on sales progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth service delivery for clients and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expansion into new markets or client segments.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales and Marketing or relevant field.
  • Master's Degree (preferred but not mandatory): An BBA or MBA in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cargo sales or related field. Experience in the air freight or logistics industry would be an added.
  • Preferably have strong network within the cargo industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cargo services, pricing structures, logistics operations. Knowledge of international air freight and customs procedures would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts.
  • Smart, professional appearance and attitude, with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Must have access to reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
