C++ Software Engineer

Description:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced C++ Software Engineer to join our engineering team.

This is a pure C++ development role where you'll work directly with a mature and established C++ codebase. Your responsibility will be to understand the architecture, extend existing functionality, improve performance, and maintain high-quality code.

You won't be responsible for infrastructure, DevOps, databases, or operations—allowing you to focus entirely on writing exceptional C++ software.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new features within an existing C++ application.
• Read, understand, and extend a large production codebase.
• Debug and resolve software defects efficiently.
• Refactor legacy components to improve readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with the development team to deliver stable and scalable software.

Required Skills & QualificationsMust Have

• 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++11/14/17).
• Excellent understanding of:
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• STL
• Templates
• Smart Pointers
• RAII
• Memory Management
• Experience working with large, existing codebases.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using GDB or equivalent tools.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
