Better Recruitment, on behalf of a prestigious client, is looking for a seasoned Business Manager – Chemicals Trading to spearhead end-to-end operations in the petrochemical trading sector within Pakistan. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a commercially astute and operationally hands-on professional with a deep understanding of the local and international chemicals market.
The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in navigating the complexities of the petrochemical trading landscape, including market research, supplier management, logistics, risk evaluation, and P&L ownership. Strategize, implement, and manage the full petrochemical trading operation across Pakistan.
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends and competitive opportunities.
Lead the end-to-end trading cycle, including sourcing, procurement, logistics, pricing, and sales.
Take complete P&L responsibility for the trading unit, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers and buyers.
Ensure risk mitigation by overseeing credit, market, and operational risks in every transaction.
Expand the company’s presence into new customer segments and geographic markets.
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team to execute the trading vision effectively.
Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and optimize the entire trading process chain.
8–10+ years of proven experience in chemicals trading within Pakistan is mandatory.
Strong understanding of the petrochemical market, including sourcing, pricing, and supply chain.
Demonstrated success in P&L management, negotiation, and strategic planning.
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master’s in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Extensive industry network and the ability to build and sustain commercial relationships.
Exceptional skills in leadership, negotiation, analytics, communication, and market strategy.
