Business Intelligence (bi) Specialist

Gicoh is actively seeking a talented and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to join its data-driven team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Apache Superset along with familiarity in other modern BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase. This role is perfect for a data visualization expert who thrives on transforming complex data sets into intuitive and actionable dashboards.

As a BI Specialist, you will collaborate closely with various business units to design, implement, and maintain high-quality dashboards that help drive strategic decisions. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between raw data and business strategy, ensuring the delivery of insights that are both accurate and visually impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards using Apache Superset and other BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Metabase).

• Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries for analytical and reporting purposes.

• Establish connections between BI tools and data warehouses such as Clickhouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift, ensuring seamless data flow.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and convert them into effective BI solutions.

• Ensure the performance, consistency, and reliability of visualizations across platforms.

• Automate recurring reports and contribute to a self-service BI culture, empowering teams to independently derive insights.

• Troubleshoot issues related to data visualization and dashboard functionality, and document best practices and processes for future scalability.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in BI, data visualization, or a related analytics role.

• Proven expertise in Apache Superset and SQL.

• Proficiency with other BI tools and a good understanding of data warehouse concepts.

• Familiarity with data warehousing platforms like Clickhouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical users.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis.

• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow or dbt.
