Business Growth Strategist

 

Description:

This is a hybrid role across client success, sales, operations, and systems ownership. You’ll be responsible for making sure clients stay, grow, and expand, while also improving how we operate internally and how we convert opportunities into revenue.

 

This role requires someone who can think clearly across clients, revenue, tools, and execution, and take ownership without needing step-by-step direction.

 

What you’ll actually do:

  • A client is at risk of leaving → you step in, understand the root cause, and save the account
  • A renewal is coming up → you build the case, handle objections, and close the renewal
  • A client has growth potential → you identify it and convert it into upsell revenue
  • A lead or opportunity appears → you participate in or support sales conversations and closing strategy
  • Execution is misaligned → you coordinate internally and fix delivery gaps
  • Systems are inefficient → you research, improve, or introduce better tools and processes
  • Leadership needs clarity → you provide structured updates and decision-ready reporting

 

Core responsibilities:

 

Client Success & Revenue Ownership

  • Own retention, renewals, and account expansion
  • Handle churn risk, objections, and difficult client conversations
  • Identify and execute upsell opportunities (websites, ads, services, etc.)
  • Maintain long-term client satisfaction through strategic engagement.

 

Sales & Revenue Understanding

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, objections, and closing dynamics
  • Ability to participate in client-facing sales conversations when needed
  • Experience in handling objections, positioning value, and closing deals
  • Support revenue growth through both retention and new opportunities
  • Understand how to align client needs with service offerings

 

Operations & Execution

  • Ensure internal teams are aligned with client expectations
  • Fix gaps between strategy, sales promise, and delivery
  • Improve workflows and execution processes
  • Manage moving parts across clients, tools, and teams

 

C-Level Coordination & Reporting

  • Work directly with leadership on strategy, priorities, and account performance
  • Translate activity into clear insights, risks, and opportunities
  • Participate in high-level decision-making discussions
  • Provide structured reporting that supports business decisions

 

Technical & Systems Ownership

  • Work across multiple tools (CRM, outreach systems, reporting dashboards, etc.)
  • Ability to learn, test, and implement new software/tools quickly
  • Understand and interpret Google Ads performance and strategy basics
  • Working knowledge of website structure, performance, and changes
  • Ability to support or coordinate website updates when required
  • Comfortable with data, tracking, and performance systems

What you need to bring

  • Experience in sales, customer success, account management, or revenue roles
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, objections, and closing
  • Ability to think in systems, not just tasks
  • Comfortable speaking with both clients and leadership
  • Understanding of digital marketing basics (Google Ads, websites, funnels)
  • Ability to learn and work across multiple tools/software systems
  • Strong communication, clarity, and decision-making ability
  • High ownership mindset — you don’t wait for instructions
