As the Business Development Representative, you will be at the forefront of identifying new business opportunities, managing client communications, and driving lead generation efforts through platforms such as Upwork. You will be responsible for crafting compelling proposals, handling client negotiations, and maintaining detailed records through tracking and reporting systems.
This role requires someone who is not only fluent in spoken English but also confident in presenting ideas, handling communications with international clients, and managing the business pipeline with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a keen understanding of online bidding platforms, sales funnels, and client engagement strategies.
You will work directly with the CEO, contributing to strategic growth initiatives and helping turn prospects into long-term business relationships. Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow client relationships through Upwork and other online platforms
Draft, customize, and submit persuasive business proposals
Communicate with clients across international markets with clarity and professionalism
Track business opportunities, maintain reporting dashboards, and ensure follow-ups are timely and effective
Work directly with the CEO to support business strategies, market research, and opportunity expansion
Identify new leads, market segments, and service areas to support revenue growth
Key Requirements:
2–3 years of proven experience in business development, preferably in the IT or digital services sector
Expertise in using Upwork or similar freelancing platforms for lead generation
Fluent spoken and written English with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, track KPIs, and generate timely reports
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and under pressure
