Description:

Verdant Soft is actively seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Executive – Upwork Bidder to join its growing sales team. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with experience in freelancing platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, etc., who can identify leads, bid effectively, negotiate, and close deals to help drive business growth.

The selected candidate will play a key role in generating qualified leads, nurturing client relationships, and maximizing conversions through well-tailored proposals and persuasive communication. A strong understanding of the tech and software services industry is essential to represent company offerings effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify suitable projects and opportunities on Upwork and other freelancing platforms

  • Draft tailored, high-impact proposals that reflect client requirements and expectations

  • Optimize and maintain online profiles to attract inbound client inquiries

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads through strategic outreach and consistent follow-ups

  • Confidently negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction

  • Coordinate with technical departments to create accurate scopes of work and project timelines

  • Clearly communicate the company’s services, value proposition, and project delivery approach to potential clients

  • Cultivate long-term client relationships, ensuring post-sale engagement and upselling opportunities

  • Monitor, analyze, and refine bidding strategies to improve proposal success rate

  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly performance reports reflecting lead conversion and revenue progress

  • Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities in the freelance marketplace


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development, especially through platforms like Upwork and Fiverr

  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

  • Strong negotiation, lead generation, and client acquisition skills

  • Understanding of technical services, software solutions, and project estimation

  • Proven success in closing freelance deals and achieving revenue targets


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Odoo) to manage and monitor leads and proposal stages

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello, ClickUp, or Jira

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with internal teams


Job Timings & Location:

  • 📍 Location: G4, Johar Town, Lahore

  • 🕔 Work Time: Flexible (Monday to Friday)
