Business Development Executive

 

Description:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and driving business expansion in exports market. The role involves frequent travelling, lead generation and sales & marketing activities to achieve business objectives.

Core Responsibilities
 

  • Market Insight - Identification of potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape. Analyze industry developments and customer preferences to offer tailor made ingredients. Stay updated on industry news, emerging technologies, and market dynamics. Provide insights and recommendations based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Lead Generation - Identify and target potential clients through primary and secondary source. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through effective communication and rapport-building. Understand client needs, application and objectives to offer suitable solutions.
  • Sales and Business Expansion - Develop and execute on country specific business plan to achieve revenue targets. Capable to present product/service offerings to potential clients, addressing their concerns and highlighting value propositions. Negotiate terms and close deals while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Networking and Industry Engagement - Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to expand the company's network and stay updated on industry trends. Represent the company professionally and build a personal brand within the industry.
  • Reporting and Performance Analysis - Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress in the Salesforce system. Prepare regular reports detailing sales achievements, challenges, and future action plans.
     

Mandatory Requirements

Qualified candidates will have:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Master’s in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry
  • 4 -5 years’ work experience
     

Desirable Requirements
 

  • Master’s in business administration
  • Proven track record in sales and business development, preferably within the starch or related industry.
