Description:

Nearpeer is seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals for the position of Business Development Officer with an IT background and solid experience in bidding on freelancing platforms. Responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, identifying new opportunities, building client relationships, and managing bids on platforms such as Upwork and Fiverr, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with our IT services.
  • Analyze market data to understand preferences, pain points, and identify areas for business growth.
  • Generate leads and develop a pipeline of potential clients.
  • Utilize bidding experience to secure projects on freelancing platforms.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and negotiate terms with clients to secure new projects.
  • Submit competitive bids within the required timeframe.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Regularly conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to win new business and secure long-term contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution.
  • Contribute to the business development strategy.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Track and report key metrics and provide updates to the management team.

Requirements and skills

  • Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales / Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong English skills both written and verbal
  • Good understanding of Software/related fields, procuring leads, and generating sales.
  • Strong understanding of IT products, services, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Basic Idea of business development, sales, or a related role within the IT sector.
  • Previous experience bidding on freelancing platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, etc.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities and close deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze market data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools.
