Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Bookkeeper with 1-2 years of experience and a good understanding of U.S. accounting principles. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations for U.S.-based businesses or clients. You will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting accounts payable/receivable processes, contributing to our monthly and year-end financial activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and assist with the posting process.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and credit card statements.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable entries in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist senior bookkeepers or the Finance Manager with audit preparations, basic budgeting tasks, and tax-related data gathering.
- Ensure basic compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS standards under guidance.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms for daily tasks.
- Communicate effectively with U.S. clients or internal teams to gather necessary financial data.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role.
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles and familiarity with U.S. tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks, Xero, or other widely used platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with U.S. clients.
- Ability to work U.S. business hours (night shift Pakistan time).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies or clients is a strong advantage.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and U.S. tax filing systems is a plus.
- Certification in Bookkeeping or Accounting (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) is a bonus.
