Backend Developer

Description:

GeekyBugs is currently hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Backend Developer who is passionate about building robust, scalable, and efficient backend systems. The selected candidate will work on developing and maintaining backend services and APIs to support web and mobile applications, focusing on high performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs to support frontend applications.

• Utilize Node.js or Next.js frameworks to develop server-side logic and business processes.

• Work with MongoDB and/or MySQL databases to handle data modeling, storage, and retrieval efficiently.

• Implement secure authentication mechanisms using JWT (JSON Web Tokens) and OAuth.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

• Maintain code versioning with Git and follow best practices in coding and documentation.

• Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues and provide effective solutions.

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in backend development using modern JavaScript frameworks like Node.js or Next.js.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API architecture and development.

• Proficiency in working with MongoDB or MySQL databases.

• Experience with authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.

• Familiarity with Git for version control.

• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or in a team.
