Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend systems and services on the AWS platform and APIs to support automated data analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient backend architectures.
• Develop and maintain backend code using Typescript and Python, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage mechanisms using AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and AWS Data lake.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to automate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into the analytics environment.
• Optimize data processing and analysis workflows for performance and cost-effectiveness using AWS services such as AWS EMR, AWS Athena, or AWS Redshift.
• Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of backend systems into CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Utilize AWS APIs and connectors to integrate with third-party systems for data analysis and leverage external services effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, data engineering best practices, and data analytics technologies, including the AWS open-source package "Automated Data Analytics on AWS," and provide recommendations for their effective utilization.
