Description:

The Asst. Warehouse Officer-Finished Goods is responsible for [All activities being performed at WH of Finished Goods and Packaging Material stores at the respective Plant.]

Core Responsibilities
 

  • Area of responsibility – [Plant’s Finished Goods Warehouse, In bound Storage, Outbound]
  • Critical deliverables
    • Receive Inbound Goods: Ensure the receipt of goods from production, follow storage protocols, and record everything in SAP.
    • Prepare Authorization Slips: Handle material authorization slips for contractors.
    • Manage Warehouse Operations: Oversee warehouse activities, ensuring safety and security measures are followed.
    • Protect Storage Environments: Safeguard storage areas from severe weather, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Fulfill Orders: Execute delivery and fulfillment processes to meet customer satisfaction and Perfect Order, DIFOT targets for both domestic and export customers.
    • Enhance Dispatch Quality: Reduce and maintain zero customer complaints by improving dispatch quality specifically of food grade dispatches to domestic and export customers.
    • Handle Logistics: Manage inbound and outbound logistics following FIFO/FEFO principles.
    • Maintain Equipment: Ensure continuous operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to avoid delays.
    • Liaise with MHE Providers: Work closely with MHE service providers to keep all equipment operational.
    • Separate Special Stocks: Keep separate storage for block and off-code stocks, and coordinate with production for timely reprocessing, repacking, or write-off.
    • Coordinate with Production: Collaborate with the production team for effective storage space management.
    • Participate in Audits: Actively take part in internal and external audits conducted by customers or third parties.
    • Handle Emergencies: Effectively manage emergency situations, especially during changing weather conditions.
    • Maintain Orderly Environment: Ensure the warehouse environment meets food and pharma-grade Quality Management Systems.
    • Match Inventory with SAP: Keep physical inventory in sync with SAP records through regular counts.
    • Coordinate Adjustments: Work with order processing and inventory controllers to make necessary adjustments.
    • Pest Management: Participate in Integrated Pest Management activities to protect the integrity of finished goods.
  • Agility and Innovation
    • Generate and Update Reports: Regularly create and update reports and statistics to keep a detailed record of warehouse activities.
    • Optimize Logistics: Improve logistics management to boost overall efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain Warehouse Upkeep: Design and implement layout improvements, conduct equipment inspections, and manage repair and maintenance requests to ensure the warehouse is in top condition.
    • Identify and Address Hazards: Proactively spot, report, and address workplace hazards, safety risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
    • Pursue Operational Excellence: Continuously strive for excellence in operations while maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
    • Execute Special Projects: Lead and successfully complete special projects assigned by supervisors or management.
    • Deploy Manpower Strategically: Allocate workforce effectively to meet organizational goals and ensure efficient staff scheduling.
    • Monitor KPIs: Track key performance indicators to evaluate and improve team performance.
  • People management
  • Effective Decision-Making: Make timely decisions to optimize staff productivity and job execution.
  • Collaboration with 3P Contractors: Work closely with third-party contractors to ensure efficient execution of various tasks.
  • Team Problem-Solving: Facilitate problem-solving by actively involving teammates in discussions and seeking their input.
  • Performance Management:
    • Communicate clear job expectations to staff.
    • Plan, monitor, and assess job results.
    • Provide feedback and appraisal.
  • Employee Development:
    • Coach and counsel employees to enhance their performance.
    • Implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Systems and Policies:
    • Contribute to the development and coordination of effective systems, policies, and procedures.
    • Enforce productivity standards.

Qualified Candidates Will Have

Mandatory requirements:
 

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • 2-4 Years’ experience in Stores & Inventory Management.
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
