Assistant Manager Motor Claims



Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operational issues of Motor Claims to ensure smooth functioning of department.
  • Look after daily claim intimations for assessment of claims.
  • Resolve disputed cases and process claims within the specified parameters.
  • Review and approve own damage, third party and constructive total loss claims.
  • Provide initial authorization to the surveyors for processing of partial loss claims.
  • Coordinate with the divisions, surveyor and workshop to resolve motor claim settlement and payment issues.
  • Resolve motor claim issues in collaboration with the Motor Department.
  • Address claims related queries.
  • Scrutinize own damage claim files for approval.
  • Process motor claim payments and adjustments.
  • Follow up with surveyors for survey reports.
  • Follow up for missing documents required for settlements related to the partial loss claims.
  • Review outstanding claims report fortnightly to ensure processing is within turnaround time.
  • Reconcile workshop and surveyors outstanding.
  • Liaise with Finance department for claim payments.
