As an Assistant Manager in Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role demands a thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
For the Assistant Manager Financial Reporting (IFRS 17) position, the focus will be on implementing and maintaining compliance with IFRS 17 – the new international accounting standard for insurance contracts. You will play a key role in interpreting IFRS 17 requirements, preparing related financial disclosures, and ensuring the Group’s financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Implement and ensure compliance with IFRS 17 standards in financial reporting related to insurance contracts (specific to the IFRS 17 role).
Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial reporting guidelines.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in the development and enhancement of financial reporting processes and controls.
Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Stay updated on changes in financial reporting standards, especially IFRS 17, and advise the team accordingly.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in financial reporting within the banking, insurance, or Islamic finance sector.
Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS).
Specialized knowledge or experience in IFRS 17 implementation is highly desirable for the IFRS 17 role.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
