Assistant Manager Accounts

Key Deliverables:The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Liaison with auditors, consultants, bankers and project heads.
  2. Monthly preparation of accounts and management reports.
  3. Budget preparation and control.
  4. Deduction, submission and filing of tax.
  5. Timely completion of reconciliations, postings and checklists.
  6. Compliance with applicable laws, regulations and accounting standards.
  7. Coordination for provision of data to the stakeholders.
  8. Review and monitoring of Information System for correctness, accuracy and identifying any discrepancies.
  9. Maintain and update inventory records, investment records and fixed assets record.
  10. Check sufficient funds are available for payments.
  11. Identify surplus funds for investment and recommend optimum utilization strategies.
  12. Training of staff for updates, new policies and regular review of their performance.
  13. Maintenance of donor data and ensuring regular provision of data to management.
  14. Costing of projects and identifying opportunities for savings.
  15. Monitor and ensure timely payments, receipts and regular follow up.
  16. Ensure proper maintenance of records for accessibility, usefulness and completeness.
  17. Presenting the financial position of the organization to the management and providing statistics as to forecasts vs actual.

Education & Qualification:

ACCA/ACMA
