Position: Assistant Manager (Finance & Taxation)
Location: Lahore (Vital House, Lahore)

✓ The Assistant Manager - Finance & Taxation will oversee day-to-day finance operations with a strong focus on taxation compliance, statutory reporting, and financial controls.
✓ The role supports accurate reporting, tax optimization, and timely compliance with FBR, OGRA, SECP, and other regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Taxation (Core Responsibility)

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns including Income Tax returns (Corporate), Sales Tax (Federal & Provincial, where applicable), Petroleum Levy, Sales Tax on petroleum products, and other OMC-related levies and Withholding tax statements under Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
• Ensure proper deduction, deposit, and reconciliation of withholding taxes (salary, vendors, contractors, services, imports, etc.).
• Handle tax assessments, audits, notices, and correspondence with FBR and provincial revenue authorities.
• Maintain tax records, reconciliations, and working papers for audit and compliance purposes.
• Support tax planning initiatives to ensure compliance while optimizing tax exposure.

2) Finance & Accounting

• Assist in preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Monitor general ledger, trial balance, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
• Review vouchers, journal entries, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and SOPs.

3) Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations including Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, Sales Tax Act, 1990 & provincial sales tax laws, OGRA rules and petroleum sector regulations and SECP requirements (where applicable).
• Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.

4) OMC-Specific Responsibilities

• Monitor taxation and margins related to petroleum products (MS, HSD, HOBC, LPG, lubricants, etc.).
• Support reconciliation of inventory, pricing, and tax impact on petroleum product sales.
• Assist in analysis of government notifications, SROS, and changes in petroleum taxation.
