Vacancy: Assistant Manager - Purchaser
Department: Supply Chain
No of position: 01
Education Required: Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience Requirement: 5–6 years of procurement experience in a corporate/industrial environment, with proven expertise in SAP MM module
Location: Port Qasim, Karachi

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end local procurement process through SAP (from requisition to purchase order and GRN).
2. Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure best value for the company.
3. Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery timelines) and maintain approved vendor list.
4. Coordinate with internal departments for timely fulfillment of material and service requirements.
5. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and reports in SAP.
7. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Resolve procurement-related issues including delivery delays, rejections, or disputes.
9. Ensure health, safety, and ethical standards are followed in procurement activities.

Technical & Professional Skills:
1. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
2. Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and reporting tools.
3. Knowledge of procurement laws, tax implications (GST, WHT, etc.), and compliance.
4. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
